Best Team Building Activities: Mild & Wild

Snow King Resort’s fun team-building exercises that fuel a little friendly competition, while also firing up the friendships

Both Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King offer tandem flight opportunities, where you’ll learn the basics of weight shifting, brake toggles, and gearing up for your tandem flight before being sent aloft to grab a bird’s-eye view of town as the sun illuminates the valley and the Tetons in the distance.

Skeet Shooting

The Jackson Hole Shooting Experience caters to groups of 15 to 30 shooters and includes historical and modern rifles, pistols and revolvers, shotgun clays, archery, and long range rifles. Groups are typically divided into smaller clusters of five to ten people and rotated through “shooting stations,” enabling each guest to really get a feel for the fundamentals of each shooting discipline.

Tree Tops Ropes Course

Located on Snow King Mountain with expansive views of the Tetons and Jackson Hole Valley, this progressive course is like Swiss Family Robinson meets the X-Games. Course elements go as high as 80 feet off the forest floor and include obstacles like wobbly bridges, swinging logs, climbing nets, flying surfboards, and 13 zip lines. Go with your team blindfolded to hone-in on your instincts and communication skills.

Whitewater Rafting

Mad River Boat Trips offer daily whitewater trips on the famous Snake River and are accompanied by professional, experienced, and highly trained river guides. You can even join them for dinner on the river with the Riverside Steak or Trout Cookout trips, prepared and served at the outfitter’s own riverside dining site overlooking the two largest rapids on the river.

Climb the King

The best views of Jackson Hole are seen from atop Snow King Mountain. A 1.8-mile trail ascends 1,571 vertical feet from the main base area to the summit, where your group can take in gorgeous views of the Tetons, the Elk Refuge, and the town of Jackson. It’s the reason why locals “Climb the King” on a weekly or even daily basis.

Meeting Technology & Amenities: Simple to Smart

Offerings – from high-tech highlights to just plain ingenious add-ons – that make holding a meeting at Snow King Resort unlike anything else.

On-Site A/V Team & Packages

Select from a variety of A/V packages offered by the resort, including everything from LCD projectors to wireless mics to sound systems, to fit your group’s budgets and needs. Plus, on-site A/V techs are available at a moment’s notice should special needs arrive.

Cardioid Boundary Microphones

These mics sit on the table in front of presenters and draw power to actively pick up the speaker’s voice for projection (they do not require a button to be pushed to work). In fact, they only pickup sound from a specific area, so unlike normal microphones, they do not have any feedback issues.

Outdoor Venues

The total 10,000 square feet of indoor meeting space is just the start. Several expansive outdoor venue facilities offer the perfect setting for an outstanding corporate event among the West’s great outdoors.

Throwbox Microphone

You can physically throw this microphone into an audience to kick-start a discussion. Located in a square padded box, the microphone can even safely bounce off the walls and floor with no fear of damaging it.

Event Themes: Prepare to be Inspired

A few of Snow King Resort’s corporate party ideas that your team will be talking about well into next quarter.

Wine Tasting in Wyoming

Although Jackson Hole Winery sits at elevation of 6,229 feet at the base of the Grand Tetons, don’t underestimate its wine potential. Approximately 2,500 cases of wine are produced here annually – including an award-winning chardonnay, riesling, pinot noir, and zinfandel – from grapes imported from the Sonoma region of California. A private tasting for your team includes a tour and talk that demonstrates what wine crafted in the Wild, Wild West is all about.

Wine & Design

The resort supplies the beverages, while The Local Galleria – an art gallery in nearby Driggs, Idaho – provides the canvases, painting supplies, and an instructor for guests to create their own masterpieces of the Tetons, Moulton Barn, and more.

Wild West Shootout

Snow King Hotel partners with the Jackson Hole Playhouse to bring your group a private reenactment of a lively cowboy gun battle at the resort, equipped with authentic western garb and guns (don’t worry, they’re filled with blanks). Afterward, enjoy a post-shootout “Meet & Greet” with the actors, who remain in character and embody quintessential cowboys.

History of Jackson Hole

Did you know that the “hole” in Jackson Hole was the term that nineteenth-century trappers used to describe this deep 50-mile-long valley? You will after taking a historic walking tour in the Town Square or enjoying a private presentation at the resort by a certified local historian from the Jackson Hole Historical Society.

Local Birds of Prey

Meet real live owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles during a raptor encounter program from the Teton Raptor Center. Demonstrations are offered at the center in nearby Wilson, Wyoming, or can be brought to the resort for a personalized experience and up-close look at the rehabilitation, research, and education of these feathered creatures.

Off-Site Meeting Venues: Landmarks to Live It Up

Meetings become lifetime experiences when hosted in one of Jackson Hole’s most unique meeting venues.

National Wildlife Museum of Art

With a backdrop of wildlife sculpture and paintings by the world’s most renowned artists, this museum offers a wide range of fully functional venues perfect for events and meeting. Popular venues: the beautiful wood-floored Members Gallery with select museum exhibitions and the Sculpture Trail Terrace overlooking the National Elk Refuge.

Bar T 5 Wagon

This Jackson Hole cookout experience takes groups on a chuck wagon ride led by cowboys from the town of Jackson into beautiful Cache Creek Canyon. Upon arriving at the canyon, a campsite is laid out with a Dutch-oven dinner of steak, barbeque, chicken, beans, slaw, and more. The evening culminates with a show from the Bart T 5 band, performing old western ballads.

National Elk Refuge

Groups can book a private one-hour sleigh ride tour through this refuge home to an elk herd numbering in the thousands. If you’re lucky, your guide might even allow you to feed the herd.

Snake River Grill

This 20-year icon in Town Square is where local comes for fine dining, serving uniquely crafted new American cuisine in a rustic cabin-like atmosphere. The intimate private dining room is available for groups to experience what western fine dining is like.

Jackson Hole Rodeo

Rodeo has been part of Jackson Hole’s cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived here more than 100 years ago. Every Wednesday night, the rodeo comes to town for an action-packed night of barrel racing, calf roping, bull riding, saddle bronco riding, and more.

Themed Dinners: Cuisine with Concepts

The best banquet menus and creative menu items that are deliciously destination-focused.

A Taste of Wyoming Barbeque

Bison chili, roasted prime rib, thyme and garlic pork loin, barbeque chicken are just a few of the star dishes in this lunch buffet. In addition to classic Wyoming game, the meal comes served with honey corn bread, fresh corn salad, watermelon and feta salad, baked beans, mac and cheese, green beans, sweet rolls, lemonade, a selection of seasonal pies, and house-made strawberry shortcake.

The Jalapeño Margarita

This signature drink is highly requested by groups for their dinner events. Made with Peligroso tequila, Chambord raspberry liquer, and house-made huckleberry jalapeño puree, it’s the most perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and sour that you’ve ever tasted.

The Spanish Rancher

This popular meal features a smorgasbord of Spanish-influenced favorites including chicken tortilla soup, chili lime salad, chili lime chicken breast, garlic chili flank steak, flour tortillas, chicken tamales, Spanish rice, black beans, tortilla chips, and guacamole. And the grand finale? Coconut tres leches cake.

Hayden’s Post Restaurant

Snow King’s on-site restaurant was renovated in 2015 and features a mountain camping vibe with dishes like bison chili, kettle mac and cheese, and the popular meat board appetizer (elk sausage, smoked duck, house-made jerky, and buffalo salami). It makes for the ultimate camp-themed dinner event and backdrop.
