Dog Days are here at Snow King Hotel!

Wyoming isn’t sit and stay territory: it’s a locale that encourages all inhabitants to run and play! Snow King Hotel encourages the same for all of our guests, two and four-legged. Nestled at the base of the Bridger Teton National Forest, with its multitude of dog friendly trails, Snow King Resort’s paws are waiting to welcome you and your furry child. We can’t wait to show you all the good places throughout Jackson to hike, bike, shop and be merry with your favorite Fido.

Here at Snow King Hotel, our dog friendly guest rooms have no size, or breed restrictions. There is no judgment here. Your guest room will become the place you and your pooch relax and rejuvenate for the next day of adventures.  Each room is conveniently located with easy access to the outdoors for those pre-bedtime potty walks and early morning Chuck-it sessions.

Hayden’s Post, the hotel’s basecamp inspired restaurant, allows well behaved four legged friends to join you as you indulge in delicious deck top dining. With gorgeous views of Snow King Mountain and all the fun to be had in the town below, we have no doubt Rover will make your after dinner plans active enough that you won’t feel any guilt completing your delectable meal.

Our concierge team is well versed in all the dog friendly activities throughout the Valley, from dog parks to hiking trails, galleries, shops, restaurants that are dog friendly, hidden fishing holes to areas where your pup can chase your mountain bike for hours.  Our Guest Services team will be sure to send you in the right direction for a dog’s perfect day. They also know the best doggy day care facilities for when mom and dad want to spend the day skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, exploring Yellowstone, or floating down the Snake River. And should someone get a little messy, or require a little extra help, the numbers for a dog washer or veterinarian are always within an arm’s reach as well.

No matter what brings you and your furbaby to Jackson Hole, Snow King Hotel is ready to make sure you both have the times of your life! We can’t wait to see you!

75 Years and Counting!

Always a fan of my history, life in Jackson can often be like a walking into a living history, especially if you wander across the Town Square at 6:00pm during the summer, and happen to get caught up in the Town Square Shoot Out! Just down the driveway from the Lobby of Snow King Hotel is one of Wyoming’s grandest pieces of history- our very first ski area!

Snow King Mountain Resort began with a single cable tow in 1939 and established Jackson’s reputation as a ski town. With its challenging steep terrain the “Town Hill,” remains a vital part of the community, cultivating generations of world-class skiers.  From its founder, Neil Rafferty, to the latest faction of Jackson Olympians, “The King” represents the heart and soul of Jackson Wyoming.  2014 marks Snow King Mountain’s 75th year in operation and we are going to celebrate our King in style!

December 14th, 2013, mark your calendars! You don’t want to miss out on all the fun that will be had as we celebrate! Snow King Mountain Resort, and Snake River Brewing will be teaming up with us here at Hayden’s Post to throw a 75th Anniversary Party that even Neil Rafferty would have been proud of!

The festivities will begin with a FREE day of skiing at on Snow King Mountain, and co
ntinue into the evening with the tapping of Hayden’s Post’s first keg of Snow King Pale Ale- an American/English hybrid inspired by hoppy U.S. pales which uses characteristic English hops along with U.S. hops in generous quantity to create a new classic. A plethora of Snow King swag and raffle prizes will be awarded, including a season ski pass to Snow King Mountain, Snow King Pale Ale t-shirts and pint glasses, gift certificates to Hayden’s Post, Snow King Hotel and more.

In addition Snow King Mountain will host a 75th Anniversary Grand Celebration on February 8th, 2014, complete with a snow bike race, Randonee race, and free concert at the base area.

Stay tuned for more information on this event!
