Snow King Mountain, rising dramatically from the Valley Floor, just six blocks from the famous Jackson Town Square, is the backdrop for the Town of Jackson. Founded in 1939, Snow King was the first ski area in Jackson Hole and one of the first in the United States. Snow King Ski Area offers one triple and two double chairlifts as well as a surface tow and a Snow Tubing Park. Our innovative 2-Hour Lift Ticket acts as a "morning half-day ticket" and allows you to enjoy fresh tracks without breaking the bank AND you can still catch that afternoon flight home! View a Virtual Tour from the top of Snow King Mountain.
With a near-perfect fall-line, Snow King is a "Racer's Mountain" and a favorite of both National & International Ski Teams. The area is open for day and night skiing and has an extensive snow making system covering over 110 acres for reliable snow conditions. The Great American Ski School at Snow King Mountain is well known for its programs for skiers of all levels.
Guided tours are available in the back-country and down the back side of the mountain. The area also offers a terrain park. View all winter activities.
